About

Our History

Optima Geo Business Advisors was founded in 2016 to service the growing demand for international tax and transfer pricing services in our increasingly interconnected global economy.

Our founder, Jake Meyer, spent more than a decade accumulating experience advising international businesses on tax matters with global accounting firms in Melbourne and Perth, Australia. This included holding several senior management positions in the tax consulting and transfer pricing departments of “the Big 4” and other prominent international accounting networks.

Our Clients & Markets

We work with a range of senior in-house finance/tax personnel at international businesses, as well as other professionals at regional CPA/CA firms and Law firms, to service international businesses operating in at least one of Australia, New Zealand and the USA.

If you are another public accounting firm or law practice, we’re happy to work collaboratively with you to help your clients in whatever capacity you’re comfortable with.  Please be assured that we’re not interested in taking on any of your clients’ work, or forming direct relationships with your clients, beyond that agreed with you in scope of our engagement.

Our name is derived from a combination of several words, optima (a plural form of optimum -which is defined as: the best or most favorable point, degree, amount or the best result obtained or obtainable under specific conditions) and geo (which is defined as: earth, of the earth or relating to the earth).

To us, Optima Geo means finding optimal solutions for clients carrying on business in the global economy.

OUR VISION & Values

We believe that a firm’s location should not be an obstacle to a firm’s access to world class international transfer pricing expertise to help it proactively manage the tax risks associated with operating in multiple jurisdictions.

We believe in providing value for money - we don’t expect our clients to pay extra so we can cover the rent for a lavish shopfront in the CBD/downtown of a major financial center like New York or Sydney.

Our clients only pay for what it is that they’re actually after – access to the in-depth knowledge and expertise of highly experienced professionals.
